Welcome to Carnival Night Zone! Probably the brightest place on Angel Island, where it'd scare off any ghosts that came close to it, much to Storm's relief. It's well known for it's wild corners and turns, and gambling themes. But the problem is in this rich and impressive area is that...

"...finding an Emerald here is gonna be like finding a needle in a haystack..." Groaned the Rogue leader, drifting through the zone on his board.

"Well...at least we don't gotta worry 'bout ghosts here...eh, boss?"

"Pffft, like they were a problem to begin with! We're the Babylon Rogues after all, nothing scares us!" He rose his fist.

[Alien-Child]

"What is this irritating place?" Void groaned, trying to shield his eyes from the lights.


"A carnival, I was unaware I dragged this place to the heavens with the island." Wendy looked down at her wand, "Hmm, how strange. I swore I detected a Sol Emerald earlier, but it seems the energy I'm picking up has changed frequencies."


"That, and one of your books is shining."


"What you mean?"



Looking at the book, it seemed to be glowing in a rhythm, at the same time, the Ark of the Cosmos was glowing in the same rhythm too.

"Oh, Jet... look... you've got a hairy, poisonous, killer spider on your shoulder..." She said, dryly, as she rode her board.

[kelik]

"YEEEEEEEEEEE?!" The bird jumped a bit, looking over his shoulder. "...Don't do that, Wave?!" He shouted.

And the Albatross laughed, but noticed something. "Boss, yer bracelet!"

"Eh?" He blinked and looked down when he pointed it out. "The Ark of the Cosmos is glowing? I...didn't expect that!" He looked it over. "The Anti-Gravity didn't kick in...so what does it mean?!"

[Alien-Child]

"What's going on here?" Wendy said as she flipped through the glowing pages.


"I thought you said it was just a book of fairy tales."


"More or less. Wally was always bragging about how these stories lead into other worlds. Though he was just some nerd, but guess he has some truth to that."


"So what's it doing?"


"Calling out to something, I'd guess. But to what?"

"Maybe it's acting like a tracer..." She said, arms crossed. "In case you didn't know, there are five in total..."

[kelik]

"So you think it's calling out to the other Arks?" He looked over.

"Guess so."

"Then what're we waiting for?! Let's hop to it!" And with that, he raced off to follow the pulsing.

"Wait up, boss!" He rushed off behind him too.

[Alien-Child]

There over a ferris wheel, a beam of light blasted into the sky. It could be a park attraction, but the ark seems to be drawn to it.

"Over there...!!" She cries out, pointing to the light.

[kelik]

"Got it!" He noticed the Ark reacting more and more, and raced after it faster.

With his muscle right behind him.

[Alien-Child]

"Can't you turn that thing off?" Void winced, covering his eyes from the beam emitting from the book.


"I'm trying!" Wendy hissed, trying to cover up the pages.

[ninetalesuk]

"I would say be careful, but this is you, Jet..." She dryly noted, flying after them...

[kelik]

"!" He saw where the light was coming from. "There!" He raced down to the two, and swiped the book out of the witch's hands. "Yoink!" He didn't even stop to see what he snatched...

All while the albatross followed behind, bumping past the witch. "We did it!"

[Alien-Child]

"WHAT?!" Wendy gawked, feeling her hands empty. "What just happened?!"


Shrugged, "Don't know, blinded by the light. At least its gone now."


"SHUT IT! Get after quick-" Suddenly, her blood rain cold when she looked up in the sky. Carnival Nights somehow always seemed to be in an everlasting night. The sky would be pitch black as night with stars visible, yet somehow the sun still floating high above, but its light would never be powerful to shine a day sky in this zone. Likely a strong wave of chaos energy in this zone.
But when its really night, the sun would fall... like right now, and looking around, Wendy trembled seeing dark mist gurgled.


"You're kidding..." Void uttered, glaring at Wendy, "YOU LET THEM HERE?!"


"This whole land was part of the Land of Darkness, of course there would be some hidden within here!"


Gritting his teeth, "Can you redirect the island to a timeline in the day?!"


"It-it'll be difficult without the Jeweled Scepter, but I'll give it a try."

Flying beside Jet, she hummed. "....a book, huh?"

[kelik]

"...a book?" He looked down at it, and gasped. "That's what I snagged?!"

"But it still looks really important...and the Ark is reacting to it, boss!"

"It is?" He indeed noticed both objects reacting to each other in pulses. "...weird. What the heck is this book?" He opened it to inspect it's contents.

[Alien-Child]

Then a small beam of light shot into his face. While powerful enough to knock him off his feet, it won't be very harmful. When the light dies down, a ring would be on his face. However not like a power ring, but a normal looking ring for a finger.

She stopped near Jet, got off her board, walked over and picked up the ring. "Hmm... a ring, huh...?"

She slid it on her finger. "Perfect fit... Jet, how are you feeling right now?"

[kelik]

"...." Knocked back on his board, stunned.

"Boss! You ok?!" He bent to him, shaking. "Boss, hang in there!"

"E.eh?!" He sat up and groaned. "W.what the...? What just happened?!"

"Ya...got me." He looked at the book. "What if the book is cursed?!"

"CURSED?!" He squawked in horror.

[Alien-Child]

"BRAAAAAA!!!!" Curse or not, they have big problems as something crushed through a whole roller coaster.


The being who destroyed the tracks was this behemoth monster swinging a dark hued club.
