 "Err, yes..." She sweatdropped, but turned to Knuckles. "Now, let's begin by controlling the Master Emerald's size." She put her hand over Knuckles' hand with the Emerald in it. "Echidnas have a bond with the Master Emerald, if you focus deep enough, you can have some control over the Emerald..." She closed her eyes. "Simply empty your mind, and focus only on the Emerald..."  And someone watched the scene. "..." |

 "...right... empty my mind... might take a while..." And Knuckles closed his eyes, focusing on the emerald completely... ...which he managed to do in the span of just a few moments. Not a lot stirring in his mind right now, save for the gemstone. |

 Gazing into the sky, Alucion saw the sunset. Nightfall has come, and those monsters might too. Hopefully not around them or namely the rest of the tribe, she doesn't want to be nagged by the elder at neglecting her royal duties at keeping those beasts back. |

 She kept watching Knuckles, and then she looked around. The plant life was surprisingly abundant in this place, and she kept getting good vibes from everywhere. She couldn't help but smile. |

Knuckles let out the faintest breath as he kept his eyes closed... focusing... focusing still... ...and in his grasp, the emerald slowly began to grow bigger... bigger... bigger... bigger... until even Knuckles was suddenly unable to hold it on one hand, as he opened his eyes to see the Master Emerald back to its original, massive size. "...whoa." |

She turned and gasped. "No! Stay away!" And suddenly the figure in hiding leaped out, and fired crossbow bolts down at the two. |

Gritting his teeth, he quickly closed his eyes whilst putting his hand on the Master Emerald. The large gem shrunk down to a more manageable size, as he then quickly stuffed it down his hat, making sure it was a tight fit on his head. "You've 'borrowed' enough, already." And then he punched his hands together. "It's payback time, blackie!" |
