So on that note, the mysterious being finally used stealth tech to fade into the background and leave.  Meanwhile, the priestess was leaning against a nearby wall, knocked out from the abrupt Chaos Energy. |

 "Whoa... What was that?!" Lilac gawked.  "'Chaos Control'? What the heck...?" Carol blinked.  "What just happened...?!" @magister@ "An impressive display, but unfortunately, merely a delay. Chaos and those two troublemakers are still on the loose." Suddenly, several 'spikes' crashed into the ground around the shrine, in a circular formation, before promptly securing themselves firmly, and generating a dome barrier around the entire shrine, encasing everyone in it. "Oh, now what's going o-" Suddenly, dozens of Brevon's troops began coming out of the woodwork, surrounding the shrine, weapons drawn and primed. A large green ship smashed down in front of the barrier (note: same one in the FP demo intro), generating a hologram... @brevon@ "Thank you for getting rid of those three. Now I can simply focus on you people. I wouldn't bother with that 'Chaos Control' nonsense again if I were you, this barrier is also designed to block teleportation, it's a rather common technology out there. My assistant is already adjusting it to resist the energy of that emerald." And suddenly, a figure appeared on the ship outside of the barrier... The armored being appeared behind Brevon. "Conqueror Brevon, you will leave this land immediately." Said a very distorted voice. "What the...?" "If you don't comply, I will bring down your entire ship, it's crew, and this poor excuse of a barrier." In other words: NOPE! |

And as he dodged the gunfire... well, he was pretty much done. "I SAID GET OUTTA MY FACE!!!" And he hurled a punch down at the ground, with such force that the ground beneath him exploded, sending a vicious crack that tore the ground up towards the gunship, as if the earth would open beneath the gunship and send it plummeting to its doom. Barrier or not, gravity would certainly be a fickle mistress to toy with. |

She dodged the fire rather quickly, and took a sprint across the ship, firing back at the troopers while flipping over them. "Guh!" He dodged aside and ended up near the Emerald, looking up at it and the other Hedgehog. "Hey, excuse me!" He called. "That skill you used before, what was it? Chaos Control? Can you use it to get them outta here?!" |

However, the ship itself retracted its legs, hovering in place. Yeah, nice try, Knux. But, your attempt did send several troopers falling. And it slightly dislodged the shield spikes near the break, causing the barrier to be disrupted, at least forming small gaps in it. @magister@ This gave these two an opportunity to start shooting back at the troopers. @brevon@ He suddenly teleported on top of the ship, slashing at the armored stranger with his dagger quickly, "Must I do everything myself...?" |

With a quick breath, he just shook his head, before he saw that the spikes that formed the barrier had been affected. "...so if you wanna play that game...!" With another roar, he then began digging beneath the ground, burrowing at a rapid pace to rush against the spikes and smash them where he could spot them. |

*CLANG* But it defended with one of it's blades, and retaliated with a spin slash. He noticed the barrier was lessening. "...maybe if the barrier is completely down we can get that ship outta there, I can lend a hand if you need me to!" Even though Silver has never used Chaos Energy before, he had to try something... |

Knuckles was certainly making the shield less stable, whatever he's doing, it's working.

He jumped back, evading the spin slash, "I should have cloned Serpentine, he was only subordinate capable of keeping up with you people... But I suppose I can't complain, I do so enjoy making my enemies suffer." He then rushed forward, and perform several rapid slashes at the stranger's throat, torso and limbs.

And he wasn't stopping at just one; he was nailing each of the spikes with powerful punches as he dug around the area, growling as he made sure to clock each spike he came across with quite a bit of force. |

"....." Not the reaction he was expecting. "Fine, I'll do it myself!" He came to the Emerald she was on and looked it over...really unsure of what to do. '...uh oh.' The armor held together against the attack, though it did do some note worthy damage. It rushed in once more, swinging both blades out. |

Now Lilac and Carol could get past the barrier when they had the chance, attacking the troops fast and hard. "Seems the tide is slowly turning in our favor!" @brevon@ "You can't rely on that forever," Brevon chided, parrying the strikes, and firing his plasma pistol at her with his other arm, before making a few more slashes. |
