Being encased in in megatal, his armor is indestructable. It'll take a being power as Super Sonic to crack it. With the robot armor he has super strength, speed and flight from thrusters and whatever gadgets he has such as lasers, flashlights and etc.
Weakness:
Besides his short temper and hot headedness, Shorty is trapped in the Cybernik armor. It can't be destroyed or even dismantled by any known means. If he runs out of energy, he's unable to move, thus requiring him to store from solar energy, which is how he's able to 'eat'.

Personality:
Shortfuse as his nickname indicates, has a 'shortfuse'. He's easily angered and prone to violence to solve problems. Easily if it means getting revenge at Robotnik or anyone who has wronged him. Despite it, Shortfuse still has good intentions as a hero, as he's willing to protect innocent people and use his armor to be a hero. As much useful in a battle the cybernik armor is, he hates it because he's trap in it.
History:
Once a normal squirrel by the name of Shorty who was known for his short temper, he was captured like every other Mobian for Eggman's robots. This time however, Robotnik had a special robot design called the Cyberniks, Badniks made out of the super metal Megatel, so hard Sonic wouldn't be able to break. Trying to break free, Shorty made a mess of the computer system. Weakening the brainwashing programming, Shorty's will was able to keep himself in control. Now as Shortfuse the Cybernik, he laid waste to the rest of the factory, along with the Cybernik plans, to ensure that no one else suffers a same fate. Since then, Shortfuse wanders the planet Mobius, fighting back at Robotnik for revenge on trapping him in the cybernik armor, and hoping one day he will be free.
