He sighed, not sure whether to scare the poor fool off or just kill him immediately, but decided to humour him. "And pray tell, what does your 'friend' look like?"

He nodded. "He's a little guy, kinda green, likes hopping around a lot."

"... So he's a frog, then?"

"Yeah! His name's Froggy."

"... No, I have not seen him, and my sensors indicate that there is no-one else here. This is private property. I suggest you leave, immediately, and look elsewhere," he replied, arms crossed.

"Aaaw, alright..." With a small sigh, he rubbed his head. "But where could he be...? After he gulped down that water, he just got all weird... eating that shiny rock and running away..."

There was a pause. "Wait. What did you say?"

He looked over. "...Froggy started acting all weird?"

"No, no, the other part, about the 'shiny rock'. Did this 'rock' look like a gemstone?"

"...yeah?" Big nodded a little, tapping his head. He needed a bit of a boost to recall, it would seem.

"... In any case, I have an idea. I will help you find your friend. And in exchange, you give me the thing he ate. Deal?" He smirked. This probably explains why there's a Sol Emerald moving so erratically.

Big rubbed his head lightly. "I dunno... Froggy's shy around strangers..."

"Worry not, good sir, my men are already searching as we speak. That 'stone' he swallowed will point out his location, see?" Brevon chuckled, acting friendly as he brought up a radar screen, pointing out the location of the Sol Emerald. "Look at the way it moves. It looks rather... Frog-like, don't you think? If you want, we can go over there right now, and you can pick him up yourself."

Big just blinked at this radar, tilting his head. "...okay..." he spoke after a while.

He could tell this creature was, well, none too bright. Regardless... "Come, let's find your friend." He then started walking, glancing at his radar to make sure he was headed in the right direction, and there wasn't anyone about to ambush him.

He simply followed along, glancing around to try and spot anything on his own.

The warlord was getting slightly impatient, as they reached the spot where the frog should be. He had to adjust the sensors so he could pin-point the frog's location...

And the sensors showed that it was... right on top of them?

"Froggy!" And with a happy chime, he craned down to pick something up...

...namely, a frog with a tail who simply looked around the area, before his gaze fell on the warlord.

And he laughed. "Man, am I glad to see you, buddy."

"Ah, good for you," Brevon was actually relieved. That didn't take long at all. "Now, I believe we had a deal. Ask him to cough up the stone. I don't believe it's good for his diet, anyway, practically indigestible."

"...I'll try." Big glanced at the frog. "Do you think you could cough the shiny up? You made the water guy really upset when you ate it..."

...what manner of buffoon would just ask someone to cough up such a gem of unbelievable power? Such nonsense was unheard of. Were he not just a frog, he would give his companion a bit of a talk, and- was that another gem he could sense just next to him?
