"Oh I'm sure the answers will turn up, eventually." she said tossing Tails the emerald.

And he caught it with a smile. "I'm sure you're right, Mrs. Hedgehog," he chuckled.

"Right as usual." With a small nod, Sonic finished the chili dog he had been eating, grinning lightly. "Great as ever! Make sure to let uncle know when you see him!" he remarked, before he stretched out. "And I guess tell dad I said hi or the usual."

[AnT]

"Oh I will." And now here comes the part Sonic hates.

From a bag, Bernie handed him a pack of socks. "Now before I go, I got you some new socks. I know the shoes, your uncle made you, can endure your speed, but not your socks." Then she handed him a tank of bleach. "And here's some bleach to clean your socks." Then some shampoo, "And speaking of clean, here's some shampoo. I got the kind that works well for quills." And then lots of soap. "And some soap. Now remember to take a shower, and clean your 'you know whats' everyday."

"Ugh..." Thankfully he had just finished eating a chili dog, as he plucked said items from Bernie. "Fine, fine, fine, don'ttalkaboutthatmom..." he replied quickly, and the instant he had gotten the last item, he was gone for just a few seconds before appearing back where he stood, items no longer in his grasp. "And sorted."

He tried not to laugh but a few snickers sneaked through his mouth while his hands covered it:

"Well I'll see you later. I love you." she smiled before pecking Sonic on the cheek.

"...yeah, love you too." Sonic replied as he rubbed his neck a little, giving her a slight nod and a light grin. Even if it sounded kind of forced, it was still genuine.

"Well then I'm off. Got some errands to run." Waving them, she walked off.

"Bye Mrs. Hedgehog!" he waved.

"See you around!" he called out with a small wave as well.

On the aircraft, Bernie got a look of herself on the side-mirror....and looked as if there were guilt in her eyes. With a heavy sigh, she turned on the engines and rocketed off.

In the workshop, Tails' radio was on, perhaps by Antoine's fiddling. "This marks the third sightings of the Fiery Blur in the last three months, who foiled a bank robbery in Metal City. Hardly anyone got a glimpse of this Fiery Blur, not even the crooks he or she stopped. All was seen that he or she is purple, and lit on fire. It should be informed that these vague descriptions matches the person who saved Westopolis city hall, four years go."

"...huh..." he remarked when he watched it. "...kinda weird. That blur reminds me a lot of you Sonic."

Sonic shrugged. "Dunno who it would even be, though. They'd have to be on fire a lot, if that's the case."

[JC303]

"...I bet that doesn't feel good...being on fire all the time..." he muttered.

[YolkaEd]

"Eh, I figure they can put themselves out." Sonic shrugged.

[Alien-Child]

Then their phone will ring. If they had caller-ID, it'll say Sally's name.

[JC303]

"I'll get it!" Tails announced, going over to reach for the phone. When he noticed Sally's ID, he hummed. "Huh..." and picked up. "Hello?"

[Alien-Child]

"Hey Tails, you or Sonic might want to come help Johnny in downtown Station Square on Spooner Street. He seemed to have accidently beat an officer and they're trying to arrest him."

[JC303]

"..."

He offered Sonic the phone. "It's for you." He figured it was more Sonic's territory anyway.
