 Not exactly like they had anything to attack at the moment, being that they were held up by a non-physical force. Wendy laughed at their attempts, but dismissed it. "Look up girls, witness the coming of my followers!" Up in the sky, a dark cloud gathered above the island. "Since I'm planning to take residence here, I figured my children should make themselves home. After all, what is a battleship without its crew?"  "Battleship?" "Well what you expect? Me to place my rear in some metallic floating hull?!" Wendy scuffed. Looking at the girls, she frowned. "Well, it has been fun, but I believe this where we part. Ta-Ta for now!" Whipping her arm to the side, the hold on Lilac and Blaze vanished, and they were dropped into a whirlpool. |

"Damn you...! You won't get away with this!" Blaze snarled, as she tried to fight the current. Lilac had an easier time of it, however, attempting to grab Blaze and use her swimming abilities to escape the current somehow, looking for a point where it was at its weakest... |

Then she noticed something gleaming in the waters far off, not visible from the surface, but it could be seen underwater... The whirlpool's current and all the stuff involving the entire place being moved around had moved the Emerald, and it had landed closer to them. But with Blaze's weight, she couldn't escape the flow... Blaze suddenly nodded to her, and pushed off, being sucked into the current... She gasped, but realized what she was doing. She then used a Dragon Boost to shoot herself towards the Emerald to try and snatch it, using the water and what was going on to cover her movements, but also moving as quickly as she could. If she failed here, everything was lost. |

Whatever the girls do, they better try to get out of the water fast. As it seems the whirlpool is a drain down a gaping hole that had formed during the earthquake. The water level in the pool was lowering, being sucked into the hole, and what lies beneath it.

She snatched the emerald, and quickly grabbed a crevice to avoid being sucked in. "Blaze..." "I'm right here, you fool." She almost freaked, but... ...the cat hanging by a ledge by her whispered, "I don't like water, but it's not like I cannot swim. Let's get out of here." "Um... Right..." They pulled themselves up to solid ground, and immediately fled the area discreetly before the new occupants noticed they hadn't been washed away. The city was probably rather high up right now, but they could get down fairly safely, what mattered was getting out. |

Suddenly, a certain tentacle whip right for them. "Ah, perfect." Wendy grinned, eyeing a map of the island on her palm. Twinkling dots shined all around, "It seemed most of the Sol Emeralds have found their way to my new 'Angel Island'. Now if only the set was complete and all the Chaos Emeralds was in the Land of the Sky, then the whole outer dimension would perish in one swoop!" "Shouldn't the Chaos Emeralds be here?" "Knowing Eggman, the ones he have wouldn't be on the Land of the Sky, he'd have some base somewhere. Nonetheless, this should be enough to set off an in-balance between the force. Come, my minions shall make sure this island is ours and search for the emeralds. Then, we'll lead this flagship to the nearest continent to make an example." Looks at a map of the skyword, "That'll be South Island." "Perfect!" |

"BURN." Blaze did not waste time. Using both emeralds, she proceeded to roast the entire squid in one go, and kept the heat going, protecting herself and Lilac from the heat as they continued to move, intent on getting the hell out of here. |

Blaze finished it off, making sure it simply couldn't move, before she started running through a passageway leading out of the city, "we have the Emerald, let's find the others. With them... We can counter the Jeweled Scepter!" "Sounds like a plan," Lilac chuckled, following her. |
