Hidden Palace: Echidnaopolis

She suddenly looked very worried at that, despite Knuckles' confidence. Tikal was a pacifist, she didn't like combat. She and the other villagers relied on the Emerald to help protect them, but now...

"...I don't see any other option, unfortunately," she said. "Mr. Knuckles will have to help you..."

[Alien-Child]

"Hmm." The Old man pondered for a moment.

"SIR! ATHAIR!" An echidna soldier wheezed, rushing in. "The altar is being attacked."

"Everything is being attacked!"
"But sir, its THE ALTAR!"

Athair's eyes widened. "SEND ALL FREE MEN TO THE ALTAR AT ONCE! They must free the beast!"

Knuckles blinked as he looked at the group for a moment. "...uh... the altar? What's happening now?"

[kelik]

She gasped at that, putting her hand over her mouth. "N.no!"

[Alien-Child]

"You're right that these monsters are weak." Athair fumbled before he rushed out his hut, "But the monster sealed in that gem is another story!"

"WHAAAA!!!" Echidna guards wailed as they were flung away not by monsters, but an invisible force


Controlled by this witch.


"Hmm, interesting civilization these creatures have built here." Void hummed, looking around the altar, "Does remind me of my homeland. Though, what purpose do we come here?"


"When I scanned for the Sol Emeralds on the island, my magic came to detect THIS!"


Up upon a pedestal lied a giant, black chaos emerald coursing with dark waves.


"Such beauty and power, I feel greatness calling from within." Wendy cackled.

"Uh?" His eyes narrowed as he quickly hurried after the elder. "Cosmo, you stay here!"

"O-okay!" After all, she doesn't exactly want to be part of the fight anyway...

Neither did she. "..." She looked at Cosmo. "Please help yourself to some tea, things should be fine." She took a seat.

Meanwhile, a figure kept to the shadows using stealth tech, looking over the witch and the large emerald silently. "..."

[Alien-Child]

Just as she was to analyze the stone,


A sudden laughter pierced the air,


Forcing the two to cover their ears, unaware of the cracks forming in the black emerald, where liquid starting to ooze out.


"Who dares to intrude the kingdom of the GRRRRREAT AND POWERFUL, ALUCION THE SERRRRPENT!" The Echidna Princess laughed, standing on a pillar.

"Great, keep laughing like that!" Knuckles groaned as he just arrived on the scene. "Maybe you'll make 'em deaf, along with the rest of us!"

Well the figure certainly noticed the cracks from the emerald.

[Alien-Child]

Eyeing the gem, a wicked smirk appeared on her lips. "Keep them busy."


"As you wish!" Void clapped his hands then thrusted them forward,


"WHAAA!!!" Alucion cried as a valley of thorns just rose from the ground, moving toward her and Knuckles.


"Now what secrets does this little gem hold?" Wendy's hands shined as she placed her palms on the black mineral. From within, a purple hue flared wickedly in response.

"Nh...!" With a huff, he clenched his hand. "Get your plants outta my face!!" And he threw a hammering punch down at the ground to rupture the earth, sending a mighty heave through the ground as it shot towards the thorns.

[Alien-Child]

With a snap of his fingers, a bush of thorns that survived opened up, calling forth a legion of red skinned blue bellied long necked sauropod-like monsters.


Upon a small one, like a child was trailing along. It tripped a few times, once into one of its older comrades. That earned it a swift kick by it.



"I see..." Wendy smiled, she raised her hands and bajillion spell circles manifested. "So you're the one calling for me... this prison of yours is also unique. Seems to be calling out to... to its 'other half'. If I free you, will you lend me your power?"

Inside the Onyx, there was a shine. Wendy smiled, and her spell circles got to work. From the Ancient Onyx, a geyser of dark energy blasted upwards, piercing through the ceiling and upwards.

"Grr...!" With a quick yell, he began rapidly spinning his arms around. "You guys want a piece of me?!" he called, barely even registering the sudden black energy that shot out from the gem, as he then swung his arms against the ground, sending a torrent of rock chunks towards the saurian beasts.

[Alien-Child]

The dinos roared. Some of them fell into the crack, but their long necks rose out to snap at Knuckles.


"AAH!! GET IT OFF ME! GET IT OFF ME!" Alucion roared, wrestling with the small one.



"MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Wendy laughed, as from the geyser of black energy, a gem was flying downward from the hole. The two stones collided, and a massive flared.

Hearing that obnoxious laughter from one end, and the obnoxious cries from the other, Knuckles let out a sudden roar of his own. "GET OFF!!!" And he began throwing punch after punch at the beasts, sending them flying every which way... one even flying straight for Wendy!

[Alien-Child]

"WWHAAAA!!" Wendy cried, trampled by one of her dinosaurs. However her spell had already finished.


Once the light faded, it revealed the two gems have merged into one large green chaos emerald.


While standing before it was a monster made entirely of water. With its emerald green eyes, it scowled at the echidnas before it.


"Well, this should prove interesting." Void hummed.

Just as he punched away one more dino, his eyes fell upon the watery creature, his eyes widening as he settled his hand upon his hat. "...what the...?"
