Beta is equipped with state-of-the-art tech courtesy of the Eggman Empire; while not as well-equipped as his 'younger brother' Omega, it's the precision he utilizes it that makes him a dangerous threat. Equipped with an onboard laser targeting system, he can use this to take precise aim with his double cannon arms, shooting homing missiles. For added maneuverability, he can fold his legs together to drive around at higher speeds like a vehicle, or using an onboard fan to hover up into the air. For his duties, he's also equipped with an adaptive A.I, which is capable of learning from prior mission data, forming independent firewalls to ward off attempted hacking, and simulate new strategies on the fly. In simpler terms, with enough information, he could come up with ideas on his own.
Weakness:
As a robot, a potent electric shock could clock him down for the count, and if his energy sources are depleted, he would be rendered a sitting duck. Ultimately, however, he is a slave to his A.I, which absorbs all information he takes in no matter if it's combat-related or simply something sociable; any perimeters thought up would be near-impossible to rewrite.

Beta is the first of the E-100 series and the most loyal to Eggman, despite the void of personality. To ensure Beta is one of the best, his A.I. is adapted to look and learn the information he gains. He's also devoted to missions he is tasked to and will make sure not to fail Eggman. He also carries a hidden desire to beat Gamma due to his defeat and near upgrade.
History:
The first of this unique designed E-100 Drone Series, E-101 Beta was created along with E-102 Gamma for the express purpose of a drone team capable of carrying out covert operations. Both to test their capabilities (and perhaps for his own amusement), Eggman had Beta and Gamma fight each other, with Gamma coming out on top. Beta could have been recalled to recieve a new series of upgrades, but that had to wait as Eggman wants his plans to go forward. While it was fortunate for Beta, he somehow gained a jealousy program and annoyed program when Eggman created E013 Delta, E-104 Epsilon and E-105 Zeta... based on Gamma, but lacking the adaptive A.I. to make missions simpler. With E-123 Omega made, Beta and Gamma are awaiting with their less-intellgent brothers to recieve new orders from Eggman...
