 And Shadow ported into some woods, outside a massive city-like chemical plant, with his two female companions. Shadow wondered, little knowledge to chemical science, why these fools need a power plant the size of Detroit. This place seems as nasty as said city, too, except most of the buildings like like blue futuristic buildings.  "So, any idea how to search for the emerald?" Honey asked, who didn't seem phased by the sudden teleport at all. "That egg-shaped quack didn't exactly showed us where to look in this city." |

Gritting, he gripped on the emerald, as if he was trying to focus on its power. And she noticed it. "Something wrong?" "I don't know, but I can't seem to Chaos Control over to the emerald. Something is blocking my way. I know where the emerald is, though." Pointing at the tallest tower, in the city... "Hm..." That is strange. Nobody knows about Chaos Control, so how could...? |

"...well, we know where it is." As her wings flapped, she gave Shadow and Honey a nod. "I'll go get the emerald. You guys can keep the heroes busy until I'm done. Don't screw up, 'kay?" With a light chuckle, she flew towards the tower. |

"You arrived to the scene with a brand new ability the likes anyone has ever seen, and there's suddenly something that knows how to block it, already?" That is peculiar. What could be that powerful to block his Chaos Control, Shadow wondered. |

The thought did cross Rouge's mind as she flew towards the tower. Out of curiosity, she opened a radio channel on her comm system, to see if this blockade extended to other signals. |

Frankly, all her comm channels seem fine. But as for the tower, security was tight. There were many guards, organic or robotic, and helicopters orbited the tower. Defiantly meant something was going on inside.

And she had an inkling. Equinox wasn't exactly foreign to her... but being able to block out even Chaos Emerald energy...? "Hrm..." So now, it was a matter of breaking in without aleeting the guards. Hiding where she couldn't be seen, she scoped the building for any points she could slip inside of. |

Well on the roofs, there were plenty of vents and generators to look through.
Suddenly, he felt the sensation of a emerald closing in on the city. "He's coming." Smirking, "I'll catch up." Narrowing his eyes at her, he expected an answer. "You know he'll send his sidekick after the emerald once you two show off your machoness. And when he does..." |

"...bingo." Making sure that no drones were gazing towards her or the roof, she shot up towards it, climbing onto it whilst looking for a vent she could climb into.
Before either of them could part from each other...  "WHOA!!" Suddenly this girl flew in from nowhere, landing face-first on the ground before she quickly pulled herself up. "No one saw that, right? Right. Alright, time to-!!" Aaaaaaand then she noticed the black hedgehog and gothic cat. "...uh oh." |

"Uh...?" With a quick gulp, Amy pulled her hammer out, and gave Honey a shaky look. "D-don't mess with me..."
"...and done." Just as she finished picking open one of the vents, she carefully made sure that no one noticed her, before she slipped the vent cover back on behind her, as she began her descent. |

Meanwhile, Shadow hid within the trees, waiting for Sonic come racing down the road that led to Equinox.
Speaking of which, Rouge would find herself in a hi-tech hallway, that looked like something from inside a space ship. |

"...oh, you-!!" Before Amy could go far, suddenly, a table appeared before her, with three face-down cards on it. She blinked as she carefully flipped one of them... "...Death, face-up?" She couldn't help but blink at this. Was this a tarot reading? She flipped the other. "...upside-down Devil..." She gulped, before quickly flipping the last... "...upside-down Tower. Oh boy... this is a really bad one..." She rubbed her head. "...Death would mean a sweeping change, maybe... something that changed my whole world upside-" She clamped her hands in front of her mouth. No... this wasn't her fortune, was it?!
 Speaking of, Sonic was quickly speeding along the road as well, grinning. "Shouldn't be too far now, Tails."
...well, someone's had time to redecorate. Still, Rouge didn't take any chances, taking to the shadows to sneak along, keeping her eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary. |

Just two security guards walking down the hall, keeping their eyes peeled for any intruders.
And a trio of energy blasts dove right for Sonic and Tails, making whistling sounds like bombs.

"...okay, calm down..." Amy rubbed her head quickly to try and compose herself. "...upside down, the Devil's pretty bad... might mean something like obsession... obsession? I'm not that obsessive, am I?" She rubbed her head again. "Yeah, that's right, it's not all bad..." And she briefly looked down. "...oh, did I put on some weight again? Darn it, that's another seven hours of boxercise to get back down to- GAH!!!" She shook her head again. "No, no, no, it can't be right!!"
Too bad they hadn't dealt with her before. Should be simple. As she kept to the shadows, she just waited for her opportunity. |
